Thanksgiving Ride

What a ride! The winds were intense, but the views were incredible and the company was even better. Great squad out there making it happen on Thanksgiving morning!

Tour de Tucson Recap

The team took on Tour de Tucson in some challenging conditions this year—winds with strong gusts! But everyone powered through and made it in before the rain hit. Amazing work, team!

Riding Style:

Climbs and gravel ❤️, coffee rides, commuting on bikes!

Favorite Local Route:

Dreamy Draw 🥰✨️. Short, sweet, amazing views.

How You Got Into Cycling:

During my master's program, I knew I wanted to be a bike and pedestrian planner—but I didn't know how to ride a bike. 🫣 A group of amazing women who were committed to getting more women into cycling taught me with so much patience. I started as a commuter, discovered the joy and freedom of biking, and I've been passionate about it ever since.

Favorite Post-Ride Treat:

Drip coffee (Geisha, natural processed, medium roast) or cold brew with tonic water 🥰

Racing or Event Goals:

Excited to race! I am not really acquainted with all the great opportunities in the Valley, but I'm here for the ride! You say go, I pedal!

When You're Not Riding:

Hiking with my pups, swimming, enjoying long walks, dancing or running.

Ride Motto:

A tope y con control! Closer to "full speed, no brakes"

Why Regroup:

I want to see more women in cycling. I want to join a welcoming group that positions us as strong, resilient, determined and strong-willed, that contributes to build and grow a welcoming cycling community.

Riding Style:

I love gravel rides—preferably with friends!

Favorite Local Route:

Give me a few more weeks to land on favorite.

How You Got Into Cycling:

I relocated to Houston for work and was told by a customer that "cycling is the new golf" for business networking. With the guidance of a coworker—who is now my husband—I bought my first road bike and quickly came down with a case of N+1!

Favorite Post-Ride Treat:

Leftovers!

Racing or Event Goals:

I've got my eye on a couple Gravel Earth Series and Life Time events leading up to the AZ Gravel Series!

When You're Not Riding:

I'm taking our dog Lily for walks and hikes, running, doing yoga, or knitting.

Ride Motto:

More of a life motto: You've got to keep going, to keep going

Why Regroup:

Since moving here, I've jumped right into the local cycling scene. I've been fortunate to join events with members of Regroup Women's, and at every ride they've been welcoming, supportive, inspiring, and strong as hell. Those are exactly the kinds of people I want to be surrounded by—I love what the team is doing for the sport and want to be part of spreading that energy!
