We skipped the last two newsletters. April was a little slow, and then May got hot, full, and busy in the way Phoenix always seems to do once summer starts knocking.
So this June issue is part catch-up, part summer check-in, and part look ahead to what Regroup is building for the fall.
April + May Catch-Up
This is what we gathered for April/May:
Lindsay's Birthday Ride
May 9 was Lindsay's birthday ride, with a great turnout and coffee afterwards. Exactly the kind of morning that makes the early alarms worth it.
Last May Usery Loop
The last Usery Loop in May had a strong team turnout, with Tracey, Rose, and Alex coming out for the ride. The ride is paused for the hottest part of summer and will pick back up in August when Alex is back.
Last BOS Ride
The last BOS ride on June 6 had a great turnout, even with the heat already very much showing up. Huge thanks to everyone who came out and made it a strong group morning.
Summer Mode
Summer is here, and Regroup is moving into a lighter rhythm. We are basically on break for the hottest months, with everyone finding their own version of early starts, shade, travel, recovery, and heat survival.
Tracey
Tracey is sweating out her first Phoenix summer around town, with Lost & Found Gravel Festival on the calendar in June.
Her summer strategy is simple and necessary: start early, plan routes around water stops, and mix in SUP days to beat the heat. She is also already looking ahead to a Christmas trip to Belgium to spectate the UCI Cyclocross World Cup.
Caley
Caley is staying put and riding as much as she can before surgery, then laying low and recovering.
Her routes stay mostly the same, just earlier in the morning. Favorite summer escape: Flagstaff, especially riding up Snowbowl.
Lindsay
Lindsay is doing her summer Italian gravel camp, which sounds like an amazing time and a very good reason to escape the desert for a while.
She is also planning Femmes Fridays, a weekly Friday recovery coffee ride, starting in June.
More Summer Dispatches
- Alex will be in Germany for June and July, escaping the heat, enjoying the bike paths, and riding a new bike, sadly not a Factor.
- Ann is doing Coeur d'Alene 70.3.
- Caley will finally get rid of Annie and, hopefully, come out the other side healthy and without the headaches.
Mandy In Gulf Shores
Mandy sent in summer pictures from "Gulf Shores Alabama outrunning storms and Alligators."
Chelsea + Lindsay Beach Escape
Chelsea and Lindsay escaped the desert to the beach and brought the Factors along for the trip.
Alex In Germany
Alex is spending June and July in Germany, swapping Phoenix heat for bike paths, green routes, coffee stops, and a new bike.
Regroup Rides Are Picking Up
Regroup rides are picking up, and Regroup is now doing Saturday and Sunday rides. The group is also starting to prep for Chino, so this is a good time to plug back in, get some steady miles, and build toward fall.
Chino, Village Gravel + Dawn To Dusk
Who Is Doing Chino?
Regroup rides are starting to build toward Chino. Let us know if you are racing, interested, training with the group, or available to support.
Village Gravel | August 22
Tracey and Lindsay are doing Village Gravel, and more people are welcome. We have a code from Audra: Regroup20.
Let's show up on August 22.
Dawn To Dusk
Dawn to Dusk registration is open. We should start getting teams organized early so everyone who wants in has a spot and we can build the right mix of race, fun, support, and logistics.
RegroupWmn Team Contribution Program
As Regroup continues to grow, we want to better recognize the many ways our members contribute, whether that is showing up to rides, leading and sweeping, racing, volunteering, creating content, or helping behind the scenes.
To support this, we are introducing the RegroupWmn Team Contribution Program. The program is designed to recognize participation, leadership, community impact, and team representation while providing a transparent way to distribute team benefits and opportunities. Contribution levels will also be one factor considered when evaluating annual Race Team and Ambassador Team membership.
How It Works
- Submit contributions through a simple monthly form.
- Activities earn points across Community, Leadership, Racing & Events, and Team Promotion.
- Track progress in the RegroupWmn Contribution Tracker.
- Program rules, point values, and eligibility guidelines are included in the tracker.
Point Thresholds
Since we are launching midway through the year, 2026 thresholds will be prorated:
- 2026 Ambassador Team: 13 points
- 2026 Race Team: 30 points
For 2027:
- Ambassador Team: 25 points
- Race Team: 60 points
This program is intended to recognize the many ways members help make Regroup what it is. Racing is one way to contribute, but it is far from the only one.
The monthly form and team tracker are live. As always, we would love your feedback.

Help Shape The Next Issue
This newsletter works best when it reflects what everyone is actually doing, not just the pieces that make it into group chats or Strava comments.
Please keep sending photos, ride recaps, race notes, travel updates, goals, podiums, almost-podiums, big training days, coffee stops, and small moments that feel worth sharing.
You do not need a polished write-up. A few bullet points, a photo, a Strava link, or a sentence about what happened is enough.
Send newsletter contributions to Alex anytime so the next issue can include more of the team.
