Ann

Iowa → Arizona (since 2003)

Ann
Riding Style:

Road group rides with some spicy efforts or punchy hills. Love riding with ladies (or guys not trying to win the TDF!). Maybe my next bike needs to be gravel!

Favorite Local Route:

PV loop on weekdays for the climbs and scenery. Saturdays? Anywhere with good company and nice roads!

How You Got Into Cycling:

Grew up riding around Iowa, then trails in North Scottsdale and Carefree roads since the mid-90s. The Ladies BOS includes some of my old routes from 20+ years ago!

Favorite Post-Ride Treat:

A good latte! Usually a protein shake-to-go rushing kids to activities, but eggs & toast when time allows.

Racing or Event Goals:

Coeur d'Alene 70.3 on June 22! After three years at Escape From Alcatraz tri, excited for this new challenge.

When You're Not Riding:

With family (husband of 16 years, 7-year-old daughter & 4-year-old son), working in healthcare real estate, mentoring young professionals, community engagement, and public speaking.

Ride Motto:

Power and peace - fueled by grit, guided by grace

Why Regroup:

Strong leaders supporting women while consistently training. It's not about ego—we want to be strong and fast but stay grounded in the journey together. That's a fierce combo.

Riding Style:

Long road rides with some climbing. But I do also love a fast rip on my TT bike!

Favorite Local Route:

The Women's Shootout in Tucson

How You Got Into Cycling:

My son and daughter started doing triathlons when they were 6 years old so I started chasing them around. I did tris for many years until cartilage damage in my knee forced me to quit running. Then I started racing bikes because I couldn't stay away from the start line!

Favorite Post-Ride Treat:

Latte or iced coffee with cream and sugar. I also love chai lattes.

Racing or Event Goals:

I always love Valley of the Sun stage race. Also the Arizona Time Trial series.

When You're Not Riding:

Doing yoga and Pilates. I love to cook and I throw pottery.

Ride Motto:

Even when I'm losing, I'm winning.

Why Regroup:

Lindsay! I met her racing and really liked her. When I saw her build a new women's team and make it so successful I knew I wanted to be a part of it.

Starting 2026 Strong: Goal Setting & Team Success

The new year is the perfect time to set intentions and goals. Here are some tips to help you and our team start 2026 strong:

🎯 Set SMART Goals

Make your goals Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound. Instead of "get faster," try "improve my 20-minute power by 10 watts by March 1st."

👥 Share Your Goals with the Team

Accountability is powerful! Share your 2026 goals in GroupMe or during team rides. When the team knows what you're working toward, we can support you better.

📅 Pick Your A-Race(s)

Choose 1-3 "A" races for the year where you'll peak and give your best effort. Build your training plan backward from those dates. Everything else can be training or B-races.

🏋️‍♀️ Build a Strong Base

January and February are perfect for base miles. Focus on consistency, Zone 2 endurance, and building sustainable habits before intensity ramps up.

💪 Don't Forget Strength & Mobility

Off-the-bike training matters! Add strength work, yoga, or Pilates to prevent injuries and improve power. Even 20-30 minutes twice a week makes a difference.

🤝 Lean on Your Team

We're stronger together! Join team rides, ask questions, share tips, and celebrate wins (big and small). Your teammates are your biggest asset.

Remember: Progress over perfection. Every ride counts, every effort matters, and we're all in this together.

Let's make 2026 our best season yet! 💪🚴‍♀️

📋 What Are Your 2026 Goals?

Start the new year with intention! Share your 2026 cycling goals with the team.

We'll feature team goals in our January newsletter for accountability and inspiration!

"Dig deep, you are stronger than you think."
